Emily and Phoebe had an absolutely fantastic time filming for the Kwik Fit TV commercial and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We stayed in a Hotel the night before, which was one of the most exciting bits for the girls!
We arrived at the hotel at 5pm and went to Pizza Express for dinner, then all got an early night ready for the next day filming.
We were not required on set until 1.30pm so had a leisurely breakfast and played on tablets until it was time to go.
A car was sent to pick us up from the hotel and take us to the location. All very exciting for the girls.
We were shown to a separate children’s room and soon the backup girls arrived too, so they all played and chatted together.
After a little while we were taken over the road to the wardrobe truck and the girls were given lovely clothes to wear. Emily said that they had chosen her favourite from the wardrobe session so was very pleased.
It was some time before we were called to set, but there were 2 hamsters in the room to pick up and play with occasionally, and everyone was very kind and helpful. Emily and Phoebe were both incredibly patient and understanding.
Soon Emily was asked to do her voice recording and then after another short wait the girls got to sit in the car with their on screen Mum Helen, who they loved. After a few takes the girls had another break and some lovely food by a very warm, red heater (carrot sticks were popular until the cinnamon whirls and Haribo appeared!)
There was some more filming in the car whilst holding a hamster which was a bit tricky as the first hamster was very lively! Emily was afraid she would drop him.
The second hamster was much calmer and easier to hold on to, thankfully.
The shoot was then quickly wrapped up and it was time to change back out of the gorgeous screen clothes. We may have to visit a particular shop soon to buy them as they were so comfortable in them. We may also have to visit a pet shop to buy a hamster…!
Everyone on set was so lovely and said very kind and complementary things about Emily and Phoebe. They could not believe it was their first ever assignment!
It was dark when it was time to leave and the girls were a little sad to go. We said goodbye and the girls said they particularly liked their on screen Mum, and ‘the lovely man who took us over the road to wardrobe and back’.
Thank you so much for a fantastic experience and memories to treasure. When can we do it again!…
