BBC RADIO INTERVIEW

This week our Director, Debi Clark, took part in another BBC Radio interview, this time with BBC Coventry & Warwickshire. Debi was one of the judges in the Final of the Tomy competition which saw lovely little Oscar Savage take first prize amongst over 18.000 entries. This was a very light hearted interview (despite being live at 7.30am on a Saturday morning!) discussing the recent surge in child modelling interest, earnings that can be achieved from working as a child model and what to expect.

Bizzykidz Agency

Bizzykidz child model agency has seen some major changes over the past couple of months and woah we were not expecting the results to be so fruitful in such a short space of time! In order to cope with the huge increase in client work and agency activity we have employed 3 additional bookers to add to the work force. We now have a team of 6 bookers working alongside our strong administration and studio crew.

We now have a new Babyshak Head Booker, Leah Adams. Leah has worked for 12 months in our administration dept and has a very thorough knowledge of both the model & talent agency working and the children she has been looking after. This has put her in good stead for this position and the past few weeks have proven we have made the perfect decision with her promotion…well done Leah and welcome to the team! She is working from our Studio offices so will be there to meet her Babyshak babies when they come in for shoots and filming.

Our new Bizzykidz Agency Head Booker is Sadie Knox. Sadie, the daughter of the company director, has worked for the agency since the age of 14 and is qualified in all areas of the agency running. She was herself a child model having been registered with 3 large agencies from a baby up to a teenager, before then attending a full time theatre school. She is also a fully qualified and highly experienced child photographer and has worked in the client department for almost 4 years. She has a great raport with her clients and since taking over a few weeks ago has already secured 17 new clients for the company! I am sure most of you will have noticed the large increase in agency work activity of late so will be pleased to welcome her  into her new position given that she works 24-7 like her mum!

Laena Ashman is a newcomer to the client department, currently training as an assistant booker. She is working alongside Debi, Sadie & Leah so will be taught by the best and should become another great addition to the team in no time at all!

In order to manage all the new client studio hiring we also have 2 new studio crew members, Dawn Stevens and Alicia Singh. Dawn’s management skills have been invaluable at the studio whilst liaising directly with clients for casting and studio hiring, which is increasing all the time. They will compliment Adam, Katie and Rosie’s input very nicely. With clients now booking our children and studios for casting and shoots the studio has never been bizzier and could not have a better workforce running it! Well done everyone!

Jo McKenzie, who has worked in licencing for 3 yrs has moved to administration to work alongside Patsy and Kelly Sanderson and will be working full time from September when her daughter starts school. These girls do an amazing job keeping the kids profiles updated daily for clients and without them the agency would not be where it is today.

Our bookings department is becoming busier by the day and our strike rate on submissions has increased to a high we have never seen for such a prolonged period. Having said that we will of course be working to continue increasing our client list and confirmations for our lovely children and will not be taking our foot off the gas any time soon!

This month we have seen some lovely jobs secured for our children, including many many television commercials, recalls and confirmations for roles in the West End in stage shows, loads of photographic model assignments and we have even had 2 families travel abroad for filming work. Those on our VIP facebook group will know that there are far too many jobs to mention on here as we list over 30 assignment posts daily on the wall. Regardless of how bizzy we are we will always make sure to update the Facebook walls with casting and assignment information for our community of parents to wish everybody good luck and keep them up to date with agency activities!

Bizzykidz North was launched at the end of May and as a result of which many more northern assignments have been secured for our children. We have always catered for the whole of the UK, but since labeling the departments Bizzykidz North & Bizzykidz South we have experienced over a 300% increase in direct briefs from northern based production companies and clients. We opened our books to northern based children again on 1st June to help cater for the increase in work so would like to welcome our newbies onto our books and wish them all the success with our company.

We couldn’t be happier with how things are going, although as we are bizzy by name and bizzy by nature we will be working as hard as ever to secure even more work ….watch this space!

JOHNSONS BABY OIL

Lovely little Lyla U featured on the Johnson’s Baby Oil packaging and posters, showing everyone what a gorgeous little model she is! Such a lovely proud mummy moment and something to treasure forever. Well done Lyla, here’s to many more of the same
